Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said he accepted Putin's invitation to visit Russia 
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announced during his weekly speech that he had accepted Russian leader Vladimir Putin to visit Russia. The broadcast was conducted on the Brazilian president's YouTube channel.
“President Putin invited us to visit Russia. The invitation has been accepted, ”Bolsonaro said. He added that it is a “joy and great honor” to pay a visit to Russia. According to him, this trip “opens a window of opportunity” for Brazil.
In April, Putin and Bolsonaro discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral relations during a telephone conversation. In particular, the leaders of the two countries considered various aspects of practical cooperation in the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus, including the registration in Brazil of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 Sputnik V, the organization of supplies, as well as the production of the drug in the country.
