Epstein's friend Ghislaine Maxwell said that in prison she was given rotten food and was prevented from sleeping

Maxwell has been in solitary confinement for the past 16 months. The woman said that all this time she was attacked and insulted by the prison guards. Maxwell said she was constantly awakened, deprived of uninterrupted sleep, or forced to sleep with fluorescent lamps on, which impaired her vision. She was also not allowed to play sports and was not provided with a balanced diet. “They feed me rotten food. There were maggots in one apple, “she complained, adding that she didn't even have the right shoes.
Last week, the court for the fourth time denied Maxwell bail in the amount of 21 million pounds. According to the alleged accomplice of the pedophile millionaire, negative media coverage of the case during her detention, combined with deliberate suppression of evidence, made it impossible for Maxwell to get a fair trial.
Maxwell has previously complained of ill-treatment. In February 2021, she stated that a security guard forced her to wash the shower with a broom as punishment.
