UN sent salaries to Afghan doctors bypassing Taliban

Reuters: the UN allocated money for the work of Afghan doctors bypassing the Taliban

dollars, the money was allocated bypassing the Taliban ( a terrorist movement banned in Russia ). Another seven million was spent on other expenses in the work of medical institutions, writes Reuters.

“Someone had to do it in the conditions of the collapse of not only the medical, but also the financial system of the country,” the director told reporters the UN Regional Development Agency Kanne Vinaraj.

It is reported that more than 2.2 thousand medical enterprises in 31 of 34 provinces of Afghanistan have been helped. Approximately 2,000 people are intended to pay in cash, since they are located in remote areas and cannot use modern financial instruments.

The UN did not tell how exactly money is transferred to Afghanistan. As it became known earlier, the World Bank will not resume work in Afghanistan until the political issue is resolved in the country. In particular, we are talking about the recognition of the government.
