Giant cancer “robbed” golfers in Australia (video)

Golfers on the Australian Christmas Island filmed funny footage in which a palm thief grabbed a pair of clubs with a death grip, flatly refusing to let them go.

Palm thieves are terrestrial crayfish, which are known not only for their gigantic size, but also for their tendency to “steal” coconuts and other fruits or objects. Sometimes they are mistakenly called “coconut crabs”.

In the video, the men tried to remove the cancer from the clubs. One of them was clamped so tightly in the palm thief’s claws that he broke it in half. Commenting on the behavior of the animal, the golfers came to the conclusion that he could be attracted by the smell of food in the bag.
