US House of Representatives Approves $ 768 Billion Defense Budget which started on October 1st. This was reported by The New York Times.
363 congressmen voted in support of the document, 70 voted against. The approved budget is $ 768 billion. Now the document is to be considered by the Senate, if approved, it will be sent for signature to US President Joe Biden.
It is noted that, according to the draft budget, it is planned to allocate $ 300 million for military assistance to Ukraine, and for the initiative of military containment of Russia – $ 4 billion.
Earlier it was reported that the US defense budget for the coming fiscal year was presented without sanctions against the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. The American authorities also refused to impose restrictions on the state debt of Russia and Russian individuals suspected of violating human rights.
