The details of the case of the ex-head of the Federation of free-style wrestling of St. Petersburg about the murder have been disclosed

The investigation suspects the former head of the St. Petersburg Freestyle Wrestling Federation of a double murder committed in 1993. Then a businessman nicknamed Kuvalda and a law enforcement officer Kirill Ugolnikov were shot. An informed source told Interfax about this, disclosing the details of the criminal case.

According to him, together with Kulibaba, the security forces detained two more suspects in this crime – the director of the company “Voskhod Neva” Vladimir Karpinsky and the head of the organization “Magic Menu “Anatoly Motyl.

According to preliminary data of the investigation, in August 1993 Karpinsky with an unidentified accomplice in a car driven by Motyl arrived at the house on Frunze Street in St. Petersburg and there they shot the entrepreneur Igor Savin (Kuvald) from automatic weapons and Kirill Ugolnikov. Their bodies with multiple gunshot wounds were found in the courtyard of the house. The investigation suggests that the customer of the crime was Kulibaba, and the motive for the murder was the redistribution of spheres of influence in the criminal group.

Kulibaba was detained on December 7.

In 2010, he was accused of organizing the murder of the general director of the security enterprise “Cascade” Vadim Chechel. However, two years later, the jury acquitted him.
