Rosturizm announced a solution to the problem with queues at Egyptian airports

The head of Rostourism announced the settlement of the situation with queues at Egyptian airports and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. This information appeared on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

According to her, since December 6, the number of security checkpoints in the terminals has increased from two to eight. “The situation has been resolved, comfortable conditions have been created for our tourists, eight gates are working,” the head of the department said on her Instagram account.

Earlier in November, Russians massively complained about the hours-long queues at Sharm el-Sheikh airport. According to them, in the terminal, which serves passengers from Russia, the requirements for screening have been increased. Because of this, travelers have to wait for a departure for six hours without food and water.

Soon, the head of Rostourism, during negotiations with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt, Khaled al-Anani, proposed measures to avoid queues at the republic's air terminals. To resolve the issue, Doguzova proposed redistributing passenger traffic, using additional boarding gates, and equipping waiting and resting areas for Russian travelers.
