Russian President Putin: the rise in prices is global

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the rise in prices is global inflation is the soft budgetary policy of a number of countries. His words are quoted by TASS.

“We need effective mechanisms to reduce inflation,” Putin said and added that in 2022 inflation in Russia should be returned to the target level of 4 percent. Putin also spoke about the need to increase the potential pace of the Russian economy and asked the government to submit measures.

Earlier, the investment strategist of Arikapital, Sergei Suverov, said that inflation in Russia continues to set multi-year records, despite the constant increase in the key rate of the Central Bank , due to a number of factors that the regulator is not able to influence.

The Ministry of Economic Development explained that inflation in Russia is due to the global rise in prices and limited supply in the domestic market, and the decrease in the cost of energy resources in Europe can slow it down and transportation of goods, as well as stabilization of the situation in the commodity markets.
