The defendant in the case against the ex-head of the Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg was his relative Petersburg, Ivan Gromov became his relative. This was reported by the Mash na Moika Telegram channel.
According to the channel, the man was detained immediately after Gromov. The relatives were suspected of embezzling about 300 million rubles through Tesonero Computers LLC. The main customers of the firm are called the St. Petersburg City Monitoring Center, the St. Petersburg Information and Analytical Center and the schools of the Petrogradsky District.
According to open sources, the company was liquidated in November 2018.
Earlier it was reported that operatives searched two country houses in the elite cottage community “Madison Park”, registered in the name of Gromov's brother.
The former head of the Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg was detained on December 7. A case was initiated against him under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud”). It was noted that the episode concerns the work of Gromov as chairman of the committee for informatization and communications of the city government. He held this position from 2012 to 2016.
