Vice Governor of Krasnodar Territory: if necessary, observators will be opened in the region for the possible spread of the omicron strain of the coronavirus. This was reported on the official website of the regional press service.

“We must be ready when it is detected (omicron-strain – note.“ Lenta.ru ”) to open within 24 hours observers in cities with international traffic. Heads of Krasnodar, Sochi and Anapa, make suggestions on possible locations for their deployment, “- said Deputy Governor Igor Galas at a meeting of the operational headquarters.

According to Deputy Minister of Health of the Kuban Irina Vyazovskaya, at the moment, no not a single case of the disease with the new strain.

Earlier on December 6, Russia confirmed the first two cases of infection with the new omicron strain of coronavirus in tourists who arrived from South Africa. It is clarified that earlier patients passed a PCR test, the result of which turned out to be positive.

All citizens who return from South Africa and border countries are tested at the border at the time of arrival, after which they are placed in special observators where they are under the supervision of doctors.
