A Russian disabled person knocked out an apartment years later through a court

Member of the Russian Paralympic team Sergei Shatalov got an apartment in Chelyabinsk through the court after years of waiting. The athlete actually knocked out the apartment through the court. This is reported by URA.RU with reference to the local prosecutor's office.

The athlete is a disabled person of the first group, from birth he was brought up in institutions for orphans. According to law enforcement agencies, in 2018, the Paralympian was included in the list of those who should be provided with housing. However, for several years, Shatalov never received real estate and was forced to live in a rented apartment.

As a result, the department went to court to restore the rights of the Paralympian and oblige the city administration to purchase housing for him. As a result, Shatalov received a comfortable apartment in Chelyabinsk.

In August 2021, the authorities of the Republic of Buryatia announced that they would present a certificate for the purchase of an apartment to the Russian cyclist Mikhail Astashov, who set a world record at the Paralympics in Tokyo. They decided to give the athlete the opportunity to buy housing with an area of 70-80 square meters.
