Yandex.Music users listened to millions of tracks in 2021, and the most listened song was “Bird” by the rap duo HammAli & Navai. This is stated in a press release from the service received by the editorial board of Lenta.ru.
The most popular artists in terms of the number of auditions were rapper Morgenstern and singer Marie Kraimbreri. The newest and fastest growing artist in terms of auditions was the tiktokersha GUMA, who performed the hit “Glass”. The service recognized the Måneskin group as a breakthrough of the year.
Yandex.Music also noted the return of Zemfira, who released an album for the first time in eight years in 2021, and the release of Oksimiron's album, all of the tracks from which took the top lines of the rating chart within ten hours after the release.
The most listened to users' audiobooks is the science fiction novel by Frank Herbert “Dune”, the most popular podcast is the Marie Novosad project about sexuality and relationships “Sex with Marie 18+”.
