The Russians were told a way to avoid a fine when glazing a balcony

RIA Novosti: special permission must be obtained for glazing balconies RIA Novosti cites the comments of experts.

To glaze a balcony or loggia, you must obtain a special permit from the housing inspection. Elizaveta Nasrtdinova, lawyer of the Knyazev and Partners collegium, warned that citizens may not approve of glazing, which poses a danger to other residents or violates the architectural appearance of the building. At the same time, according to the lawyer of Asterisk bureau Stepan Khantimirov, litigation on this basis occurs very often, since citizens consider the balcony as their property and believe that they have the right to do whatever they want with it.

For unauthorized glazing, you can get a fine of 2-2.5 thousand rubles for citizens and 4-5 thousand for officials. Legal entities will have to pay 40-50 thousand. AVG Legal lawyer Alexey Gavrishev recalled that the owners may be obliged to remove the glazing and return the balcony to its previous appearance if they have not received permission to carry out the work.

Questions regarding the glazing of balconies arose due to information published in the media that From March 1, 2022, new rules for the use of residential premises will come into force in Russia, according to which Russians will be fined for glazed balconies without permission. The Ministry of Construction explained that this rule is not an innovation, and citizens can receive a fine for illegal glazing according to the old rules. The only change is that now the requirements will also apply to legal entities.
