Half a million rubles were stolen from a Russian pensioner during the removal of damage

Fortune-tellers robbed an 83-year-old pensioner for 480 thousand in Sevastopol while removing damage

480 thousand rubles during a ritual to remove damage. This was reported to Lente.ru on Monday, December 6, in the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to the investigation, the scammers approached the woman on the street and told her that they saw damage on her and evil eye. The attackers named the victim's adult children and told her that they, too, were in danger. To save herself and her relatives from trouble, the pensioner was offered to hold a ceremony. To do this, she was asked to collect all the money that she had in her apartment, put it in a bag and give it to the “healers”. The woman did just that.

After the fortune-tellers ritual, they returned the package to the woman, but instead of half a million rubles there were two notebooks. The pensioner noticed the substitution only when she returned home after the ceremony.

The victim realized that she had been deceived and wrote a statement to the police. Law enforcement officers are currently looking for fraudsters.
