Twitter announced the removal of dozens of “Russia-related” accounts

Twitter has deleted 66 accounts that allegedly promoted Russia's interests in the CAR, Libya and Syria , “Connected with Russia” and, according to the administration of the service, promoted interests in the Central African Republic (CAR), Libya and Syria. This is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the social network.

Under the heading “Russia”, the Twitter administration noted that a group of 16 accounts had been deleted. According to the social network, the owners of these accounts tried to carry out an information operation in the CAR.

In addition, 50 more accounts were deleted that “attacked the civilian government of Libya” and its supporters. “At the same time, [the group of deleted accounts] has largely expressed support for Russia's geopolitical position in Libya and Syria,” added on Twitter.
