Belarus promised to toughly respond to EU sanctions

Belarusian Foreign Ministry on EU sanctions: tough, asymmetric, but adequate measures will be taken (EU) v. Minsk. This is stated in a statement published on the website of the Belarusian ministry.

“Exclusively as a response, we, as stated earlier, will take tough, asymmetric, but adequate measures,” the text says.

The ministry also noted that the further this process continues, the more obvious it will become its danger to stability and security. “And the blame for everything lies solely with the initiator of the sanctions spiral and aggression – the European Union. We still urge European politicians to come to their senses, “the statement emphasizes.

According to the department, the EU sanctions are aimed at” strangling “the country, destroying the republic as a sovereign, economically successful state.

В Thursday, December 2, the European Union (EU) adopted the fifth package of sanctions against Belarus due to the situation with migrants on the Polish-Belarusian border. It says that the Council of the European Union approved another package of individual prohibitive measures against individuals and legal entities “in connection with the hybrid actions of Belarus to instrumentalize migrants to put pressure on the EU states.”
