VNII GOChS: a cyclone is approaching the Far East, capable of paralyzing almost the entire region region. The All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations (VNII GOChS) warned about this, RIA Novosti cites the quote.
According to experts, a hurricane wind of up to 40 meters per second, which is federal district, could disrupt the life support of the population this week. This forecast applies to all constituent entities of the district, with the exception of the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Republic of Buryatia. Forecasters also promise precipitation of up to 65 millimeters per day.
In addition, during this period, a power failure is expected in the Leningrad, Pskov, Novgorod, Vologda and Tver regions – power lines may not withstand the sticking of wet snow on the wires.
Earlier, Muscovites were warned about the strongest precipitation in the last 69 years. According to the specialist of the Phobos center Yevgeniy Tishkovets, intense heavy rains, especially at night and in the morning, will pour like a wall and will be replaced in the afternoon by snowfall with a decrease in visibility up to 900 meters.
