The cat saved the owner from a deadly poisonous snake hiding in shopping bags

The strange behavior of the cat helped the owner to find a poisonous snake crawling into his house escape from the deadly poisonous meter tiger snake hidden in his purchases. Reported by ABC.

Ricky Owens left the door to the house open and went outside, where he spent about two hours. Returning to the house, the man noticed that his elderly cat named Gordon was behaving strangely. The animal walked around one of the chairs, hissed, jumped and tried to scratch it with its claws. Noticing the cat's behavior, the owner of the animal raised the chair, but found nothing unusual. After that, he went to the pub.

When the man returned, Gordon continued to behave strangely. “I took the tea out of the freezer, and the cat again began to attack the bags I brought from the store, which I put next to the refrigerator,” said Owens. The Australian lifted his bags and saw a meter tiger snake crawling into his house. “I, and the cat, and the snake flew into the air in surprise. I threw the cat out into the street, ”he said. The reptile tried to hide under the refrigerator.

Owens saw that a part of the snake's belly, about 15 centimeters long, was sticking out from under the refrigerator. He did not know which side was the tail, and which side was the head of the reptile. In the end, the Australian pulled the snake out from under the refrigerator and threw it over the fence.

He stated that this incident taught him a serious lesson. “If your animal is behaving strangely, pay attention to this,” the Australian stressed.

Tiger snakes are considered one of the most venomous in the world. They are found in southeastern Australia and the island of Tasmania. These are viviparous reptiles. As a rule, there are about 30 cubs in their broods. The venom of the tiger snake is a threat to humans. Without immediate medical assistance, 40 to 60 percent of bitten people die.

Earlier it was reported that a cat in the Indian city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha state (Orissa) defended the owner's house from a deadly cobra for half an hour while the family was waiting for the snake catcher. The owner of the animal said that his pet is one and a half years old, and in the house he is perceived as a member of the family.
