The 31st Moscow International Advertising Festival Red Apple 2021 has ended
The 31st Moscow International Advertising Festival Red Apple 2021 has been awarded special awards. Leo Burnett Moscow has become the Agency of the Year. Advertiser of the Year – Sberbank. Special awards “Agency of the Year” were given in the MARKETING -emg segment, in the MEDIA nomination – OMD Media Direction, in the CREATIVE segment – Mozga Studio. The Media Network of the Year was recognized by the Media Direction Group and the Leo Burnett Worldwide agency became the Network of the Year.
In 2020, Red Apple broke all records: more than 80 members of the international jury, including 52 foreign representatives from 24 countries, more than 450 Cannes Lions among the judges. According to the voting results, 31 gold victories, 46 – silver, 55 – bronze and 30 short lists were determined. The Grand Prix of the MEDIA direction was won by the OMD Media Direction agency together with the HASBRO client with the Double Transformation case.
More than 600 works were submitted to the competition of the Moscow International Advertising Festival in 2021. “Participation in festivals is a logical completion of a certain type of project, therefore, yes,” said Ekaterina Samotesova, Brand Content Director of SOCIALIST. – Our common vector as an agency is to create advertising with meaning. Meaning is what adds value to the brand statement and product, what sets it apart from competitors. ”

The exclusive Best in Instagram nomination is included to the Red Apple competition for the fourth time. Gold in the category was taken by Mozga Studio together with the Enjoyable Aging Charity Foundation brand and the Disappearing Stories case. There is also a silver award winner in the nomination: the Red Pepper agency, the Perekrestok brand and the Come to help: Pomoshch and Perekrestok project.
This year, as part of Best in Instagram, Red Apple also awarded the winners of the Tag in Fest competition. Two awards were given to: Olga Malyar, Lyubov Troepolskaya, Amina Kusova, Olga Melnikova and Sofia Burnikova in the Tag In Briefs: Rich subcategory, Special award for best Instagram-debut; as well as Veronika Korotkova and Artem Fedulov in the Tag In Briefs: Best collaboration subcategory in the Special award for best Instagram-debut nomination.
This year Red Apple also presents the Brand Keepers award. It is awarded to the agency and the client for their successful long-term collaboration of three or more years. In the rules for determining the winners: an agency can be both network and independent. A client agency must have one or more awards: BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD. The minimum number of years of cooperation and receipt of a special award at Red Apple is three years (in 2021 for 2019, 2020 and 2021).
