An Israeli citizen who returned from Malawi was found to have a new strain of coronavirus 
The first case of infection with a new strain of coronavirus B.1.1.529 was recorded in Israel. He was found on an Israeli citizen who had returned from Malawi. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Israeli Ministry of Health.
“In addition, there are suspicions of two more cases [of infection] among [citizens] who returned from abroad, who are currently awaiting results tests in isolation, “the department added.
The Ministry of Health has already begun an epidemiological investigation to find out with whom the infected could have come into contact. The press service also drew attention to the fact that all those infected were vaccinated. “Their immunization data is currently being verified,” the Ministry of Health said.
Earlier, the Israeli authorities thought about suspending flights to South Africa due to a new strain of coronavirus. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett held urgent consultations with the heads of the Ministry of Health and Civil Defense Services on this matter, after which he added the countries of this region to the list of Israelis prohibited from visiting.
