Figure skater Kamila Valieva won the short program at the Grand Prix with a world record at in Sochi. This was reported by the Lenta.ru correspondent.

The Russian woman cleanly performed a triple axel, a triple flip and a cascade of triple lutz – a triple toe loop. For the rental, the athlete scored 87.42 points. Thus, Valieva broke the world record.

The second place was taken by another Russian woman Elizaveta Tuktamysheva (80.10 points), the third was the American Mariah Bell (69.37). Another representative of the Russian national team, Maya Khromykh, finished fourth (64.72 points).

Valieva is a student of Eteri Tutberidze. She is the world junior champion. This season, the skater has already won one stage of the world series – in Canada.
