Turkey requested permission for the emergency use of the local vaccine against COVID-19
The Turkish Ministry of Health requested permission from the national Medicines Agency for the emergency use of the Turkish vaccine against the TURKOVAC coronavirus. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Health Fakhrettin Koca, TASS reports.
“An application was sent to approve the emergency use of TURKOVAC,” the official said. Another measure will be an increase in fixed copayments for doctors from the budget of the republic.
On September 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin advised Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan to use the Russian drug Sputnik V when re-vaccinating against COVID-19.
