Governor Tsivilev: the plan for the rescue of the miners at Listvyazhnaya is being adjusted

The plan for the rescue of the remaining miners in the mine will be “Corrected.” This was stated by the Governor of the Kemerovo Region Sergei Tsivilev, RIA Novosti reports.

He explained that this is being done to avoid risks for mine rescuers. “We have already lost three, the fate of three is unknown. We no longer have the right to risk our lives. Our task is to develop an action plan to move step by step into the depths of the mine in order to find everyone who is there, “said the head of the region.

A large group of specialists, including experts from Moscow, will work to refine the plan.

The incident on Listvyazhnaya in the city of Belovo was reported on Thursday morning, November 25. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire in the mine was the ignition of coal dust – the smoke spread through the ventilation throughout the mine.

There were 285 workers underground, 43 of whom were injured. They were hospitalized, four of them in serious condition, 39 – mild and moderate. 11 people died. The bodies of three rescuers were later found in the mine. Mourning has been declared in the region from November 26 to November 28.
