TFR: the former first deputy governor of the Ulyanovsk region was suspected of embezzlement from the budget Anatoly Ozernov on suspicion of embezzlement of funds from the budget. This was reported to “Lente.ru” in the department.
The ex-official was detained in Moscow as part of a criminal investigation of embezzlement during the implementation of projects for the repair and reconstruction of administrative facilities of state authorities in the region. According to the investigation, Ozernov used his official position and attracted entrepreneurs affiliated to him to participate in tenders for the conclusion of government contracts. As a result, the cost of the work was overstated by 15 million rubles.
The investigation intends to petition for the arrest of the ex-vice-governor.
Ozernov served as the first deputy governor of the Ulyanovsk region from 2014 to April 2021.
