11 branches of the paramilitary mine rescue unit are working at the site of the emergency, 7 more are heading to the mine. An ambulance helicopter with a team of doctors from the Center for Disaster Medicine also flew to the scene.

Dozens of miners have not yet contacted

According to a TASS source, the location of 48 miners has not yet been established.

The cause of the fire was the ignition of coal dust

A TASS source said that the fire in Listvyazhnaya was caused by the ignition of coal dust, but there was no explosion. The fire started in a ventilation shaft 250 meters deep, after which smoke spread through the ventilation throughout the mine.

The incident became known on the morning of Thursday, November 25. At that moment, there were about 285 people at the enterprise, more than 40 were injured – they were poisoned by combustion products. At the moment, 43 people are in the hospital, according to official data, one worker was killed.

Listvyazhnaya mine is a coal-mining enterprise that was formed in 2003 on the basis of the Inskaya mine in the Belovsky district of the Kemerovo region.
