Disclosed topics of talks between Putin and Vucic in Sochi

Presidents of Russia and Serbia Putin and Vucic will discuss political, trade and cultural topics November 25 in Sochi. They will discuss the topics of partnership in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, TASS reports with reference to the Kremlin press service.

The parties will discuss the fight against coronavirus and the situation in the Balkans, including the settlement in Kosovo. Another important issue will be the gas price for Serbia. Belgrade hopes for a special attitude from Moscow due to its refusal to join the anti-Russian sanctions, despite the pressure from NATO.

Another topic of negotiations will be the supply of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 Sputnik Light, which has been under discussion since February 2021. … Currently, the registration procedure for the drug in Serbia is underway.

It is expected that Putin and Vucic will sign a number of agreements to increase trade between the countries. The key document will be the strategic Serbian-Russian economic development program from 2021 to 2026.

On November 16, the Serbian president announced that Belgrade wants to increase purchases of Russian gas to three billion cubic meters a year. He noted that he wants to resolve a number of issues with the Russian side, they relate to the price of gas, volumes, terms of the agreement and its flexibility.

Vucic also stressed that Serbia's economic success was made possible thanks to friendship with Russia and China. He called the Kremlin's attitude towards his country accurate and correct.
