Beglov: the introduction of QR codes has been postponed to allow the residents of St. Petersburg to get vaccinated

The Governor of St. the force of the decree providing for the introduction of QR codes for visiting restaurants and shopping centers at the end of December. The recording of his appeal is published by TV channel 78 in its Telegram account.

Beglov said that this decision was due to a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19 and an increase in the number of people vaccinated against the disease. He noted that in these conditions, the St. Petersburg authorities considered it possible to give city residents the opportunity to get vaccinated and make purchases for the New Year. In addition, he stressed that 39 thousand people are vaccinated in St. Petersburg every day. This is a record figure, the governor summed up.

Earlier, in St. Petersburg, restrictions related to the pandemic were extended until January 31, 2022. This decision was made on the basis of the order of the chief state sanitary doctor in St. Petersburg. Moreover, for the period from December 27 to January 9, it is planned to develop additional bans and restrictions, in particular, related to the work of clubs, cinemas, concert halls and museums. The authorities also postponed the introduction of QR codes for access to bars and restaurants from December 1st to December 27th.
