Russian tourists planning a vacation abroad for the New Year , gave some advice on buying inexpensive airline tickets. Alexan Mkrtchyan, General Director of the Pink Elephant travel agency network, spoke about how to buy travel documents profitably in an interview with Izvestia.
According to him, every day the chances of finding cheap tickets for winter holidays decrease, since most travelers bought them back in August and September.
“We have tourists who bought tickets to Istanbul for the New Year for 15 thousand rubles round trip. On the eve of the holidays, the same ticket will cost 30 thousand rubles, ”the expert said and added that no last minute tours are expected in 2021. At the same time, Mkrtchyan noted that there is an opportunity to buy travel documents at a bargain price on Black Friday, when airlines arrange sales.
“You can significantly save on travel if you go on vacation right now, without waiting for the New Year holidays “, – the specialist advised. So, a weekly trip to Turkey for two travelers will cost 30 thousand rubles, to the resorts of Egypt – 40 thousand, in the UAE – 60-70 thousand, and to the Dominican Republic – from 150 thousand.
Earlier in November it became known that Egypt became the most popular foreign destination among Russians for New Year's trips; it takes up a share of about 50 percent of all tours sold. Next in the preferences of Russians for the New Year holidays is Turkey.
