Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) expressed hope for continued cooperation with US universities and research institutes after the imposition of sanctions by the US Department of Commerce. It is noted that the institute was surprised by the decision of the United States authorities to include it in the sanctions lists and impose export restrictions.

Earlier it became known that the US Department of Commerce included 27 companies in the list of organizations that threaten the national security of the country. In particular, export restrictions were introduced against the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).
