A pensioner from Perm who cut the cables of high-rise workers was imprisoned for six years

In Perm for attempted murder of two people to six years in a strict regime colony a 72-year-old Russian pensioner was sentenced to psychiatric treatment. This was announced on Wednesday, November 24, by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).

As the court established, in 2019 the convict did not like that, at the height of the 9th floor, work was carried out on the facade of an apartment building. where he lived. He demanded to stop the work, and, having received a refusal, climbed to the roof of the house and cut the life ropes of two high-altitude workers. One of the workers broke, but after flying several floors, he hung on a safety rope. The second one quickly began to climb to the roof – the attacker got scared and could not bring his villainous plan to the end.

The ICR opened and investigated a criminal case under article 105 (Attempted murder of two persons) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

As it was clarified after the incident, the pensioner was intoxicated.
