Ministry of Construction: dilapidated townhouses and private houses can be included in the program of resettlement of housing The department recommended to include two more types of housing in them – dilapidated individual residential buildings and townhouses, according to Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
The department clarified that, in addition to apartment buildings, houses for several families with with its own exit from each living space – analogs of townhouses or two-family houses, as well as private houses and townhouses with worn out engineering systems. However, each region should establish specific criteria for resettlement.
The Institute for Urban Economics Foundation positively assessed the department's initiative, noting that it would allow citizens to get modern housing. However, experts emphasized that at the moment the country has not defined a clear procedure for recognizing these objects as emergency.
