US Energy Secretary Granholm: Washington hopes oil prices will fall Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm told reporters at the White House, RIA Novosti writes.
“We hope that prices will stabilize and begin to move down. We are not saying that there will be some dramatic difference [with current prices], “she said.
Earlier, the White House assessed a plan to release additional oil reserves to reduce the rise in fuel prices in the country. Granholm said freeing up state oil reserves is a temporary strategy, while the long-term strategy remains clean energy.
