Nutritionist Apletaeva: no more than 15 grams of chocolate can be eaten every day

… This was reported by nutritionist Marina Apletaeva, writes “Reedus”.

According to the expert, 15 grams of chocolate a day is a harmless norm, which is better not to exceed. Apletaeva said that chocolate is an optional product in the diet and a person can easily do without it.

The nutritionist noted that it is better to choose dark chocolate, which contains at least 50 percent cocoa. On the contrary, dairy should be discarded – it contains much more sugar. Apletaeva also advised not to abuse confectionery for those who suffer from diabetes, prediabetes, allergies or gastrointestinal diseases. “If you really want something sweet, it is better to replace chocolate with marmalade or dried fruits: they contain dietary fiber that will inhibit the absorption of sugar,” the specialist said.
