The police received information that a fake rehabilitation center is operating in the region. According to preliminary data, the cybercriminals posted information on the treatment for alcoholism and drug addiction on the website.

Russians began to turn to the organization's employees for help. They gave money and information about their relatives who needed to be cured. “After receiving the funds, the members of this organization forcibly abducted a person and held him in a rented room,” the message says.

The imprisonment lasted from several months to a year. In addition, the employees of the pseudo-medical center morally and psychologically put pressure on those held in captivity. They allowed the prisoners to contact their relatives only once a week under strict control.

On this fact, the department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Penza region opened a criminal case.

Earlier, the Russian woman Elizaveta Babikova, who spent ten days in the basement of the maniac, told about her imprisonment. According to her, she agreed with a man to talk at a restaurant. The kidnapper came to the house, took her by car, and then took out a knife and, using handcuffs and a rope, immobilized her, and then took her to the garage.
