Chechnya pulled security officials to the border with Ingushetia as part of the exercises

Large-scale exercises of security officials took place in Chechnya against the background of the conflict with Ingushetia , a special police regiment named after Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, the National Guard and the 46th operational brigade. The footage from the exercise was posted on its Instagram account by the Grozny TV channel.

As noted, the maneuvers continued for three days. During this time, the security forces had to work out interaction with each other and study the border territories of the republic – the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, gave them the appropriate instructions. Earlier, he also instructed the heads of the region's law enforcement agencies to submit proposals for the installation of special posts along the borders of Chechnya to “preserve stability on its territory,” the Grozny-inform agency reported.

At the same time, the Telegram-channel “Voenny Obschestitel” noted that the security forces were pulled together, in particular, in the Galanchozh region of Chechnya near the border with Ingushetia amid renewed territorial disputes between the republics.

Another conflict over territorial claims flared up between the regions after the Chechen side began to carry out repair work in the Ingush settlement of Dattykh in the Sunzhensky region, bordering Chechnya. In Ingushetia, such actions were considered a provocation. In turn, Kadyrov said that he could take away by force from Ingushetia the lands “illegally transferred [by the first president of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria Dzhokhar] Dudayev.” He also noted that if the Ingush want to live on Chechen lands, they will be leased.

After that, the Council of Teips of Ingushetia published the “last statement of the organization” on the border between the regions and stated that the issue should be resolved according to Sharia law. … The speaker of the Chechen parliament, Magomed Daudov, suggested that representatives of the Council of Teips of Ingushetia come to the bank of the Fortang River on the border between the regions in order to resolve the issue of land ownership under Sharia law, but they refused to attend such a meeting.
