Svetlana Tikhanovskaya stated that there is no sense in dialogue with the Belarusian authorities (EU) with the current head of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko. She spoke about this at a briefing following a conference in Vienna dedicated to the resolution of the Belarusian political crisis, the politician's press service reports.
Tikhanovskaya urged the foreign ministers of the EU countries to refrain from any contacts with Minsk until the authorities All political prisoners will not be released in Belarus. She also added that she sees no point in interacting with the Lukashenka regime, since he “cannot be trusted.”
At the same time, the oppositionist stressed that the only possible way to resolve the political crisis in the republic is dialogue.
Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko named his condition for starting a dialogue with Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. According to him, he will do this only after Russian President Vladimir Putin sits down at the negotiating table with the founder of the Anti-Corruption Fund ( FBK, included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia ) Alexey Navalny.
