Deputy Rashkin said that he was morally guilty of the incident with illegal hunting of moose in a situation with illegal elk hunting. His words are quoted by Interfax.
He recalled that his acquaintances, who invited him to hunt, assured the deputy that the documents were available. Previously, there were no problems with this, Rashkin said. “Probably, this is my mistake, which, in general, I regret today,” he said. According to him, the amount of damage amounted to 80 thousand rubles.
Earlier, the deputy admitted the fact of illegal hunting for elk. He added that he did not check if there were hunting permits. Rashkin said that because of the incident he has not slept for many nights.
Valery Rashkin confessed to killing an elk, the carcass of which was found by law enforcement officers in his car. In a video message, he said that it happened on the night of October 29. It is clarified that the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov submitted to the State Duma the idea of depriving Valery Rashkin of parliamentary immunity.
