A migrant who recruited Russians to the Islamic State was detained in Omsk “(IG). On Monday, November 22, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the agency, a citizen of one of the Asian countries, being in contact with an active participant of the Islamic State, recruited Russians and financed the organization. A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under article 205.1 (“Assistance to a terrorist organization”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The migrant faces up to 15 years in prison.
Law enforcement officers continue a complex of operational-search measures, all the circumstances of the crime and possible accomplices of the detainee are being established.
On October 22, it was reported that the FSB had prevented the terrorist attack , which the supporter of the “Islamic State” planned to carry out at the transport infrastructure facilities of the Stavropol Territory.
