The Dostoevsky Museum began work on the territory of the “Zaraisk Kremlin”
In the year of the 200th anniversary of the writer Fyodor Dostoevsky, his museum-estate “Darovoe” was opened. The object became part of the “Zaraisk Kremlin”. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow Region.
The museum was opened by the Minister of Culture of the Moscow Region, Elena Kharlamova, and the head of Zaraysk, Viktor Petrushchenko.
“Work on the creation of the museum began in 2015. It was a complex and consistent project: from archaeological work on the territory of the estate, historical and archival research, restoration and museumification of the estate, to the restoration of the garden. Today I am very proud that we have created a unique estate of the family of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, where the literary heritage of the writer will be preserved. I would like to thank the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Yuryevich Vorobyov, for supporting our museum all these years.
