Russian diplomat spoke about humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Nebenzya: in the near future we will provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Russia will send urgent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in the near future. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Vasily Nebenzya, TASS reports.

The diplomat stressed that Russia welcomes the established interaction with the local authorities and the operational actions taken by the organization in this direction.

” In turn, we are also ready to contribute to this common cause. In the near future we will send food, medicine, essential goods to Afghanistan, “Nebenzya said to the UN Security Council meeting.

Earlier, Nebenzya called for unfreezing Afghanistan's financial assets to help resolve the humanitarian problems that arose in the country. According to him, the issues of poverty, poverty and food shortages in Afghanistan have not been resolved, despite “endless financial injections and foreign military presence for more than 20 years.” He noted that it is not easy to resolve these issues due to the “elementary lack of funds.”
