Nebenzya: Afghanistan's socio-economic problems will be solved by unfreezing bank accounts 
The Security Council meeting said that it is impossible to solve the socio-economic problems of Afghanistan without unfreezing Afghan state reserves in Western banks through international financial institutions. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti
In his opinion, this is the only way that can help resolve the crisis that has developed in the country after representatives of the radical Taliban ( a terrorist organization banned in Russia ) came to power.
“ We are compelled to state: no matter how now assistance is being increased through the OCHA (Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, – comment of Lenta.ru ), fund programs, without unfreezing funds through international financial institutions, socio-economic Afghanistan's problems will not be resolved, “Nebenzya stressed.
Nebenzya also noted that Russia is in favor of the early convening of an international donor conference under the auspices of the UN on Afghanistan, stressing that the main burden of post-conflict economic and financial recovery and development of the country should be borne by the forces whose military contingents have been present in this Afghanistan for the past 20 years.
Earlier it was reported that the World Bank will not resume work in Afghanistan until the political issue is resolved in the country. In particular, we are talking about the world recognition of the new Afghan government, headed by representatives of the Taliban.
After the change of power in Afghanistan in mid-August, Western countries froze international funds, including financial assets to which the country could access through the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. This is one of the reasons that provoked a deep economic crisis. For example, currently in Afghanistan there is a massive withdrawal of funds, and most banks do not work and do not provide a full range of services.
