The interior Minister of France condemned the violence during the protest of the “yellow jackets”

PARIS, January 26. /TASS/. The Minister of internal Affairs of France Christophe Castaner condemned the violence during the eleventh national day of protests of the “yellow jackets.”

“I condemn in the strongest terms the violence and destruction perpetrated again this Saturday in Paris and the provinces bullies, hiding under the “yellow jackets,” — wrote he in his Twitter.

According to him, the mobilization of law enforcement was needed to curb “promiscuity” and “to apprehend violators”.

As previously reported by channel BFMTV with reference to the interior Ministry, to protest in the Republic on Saturday was attended by 69 thousand people. Thus, according to the channel, in Paris detained at least 52 people.

The movement of the “yellow jackets” originated in France in mid-November in protest against rising prices and taxes.

In the future, the demonstrators accused the institutions of government mismanagement of the country and insufficient measures to combat poverty.

For a little more than two months the movement has held 11 national days of protest in many major cities, including in Paris, accompanied by many hours of clashes of protesters with police, arson, looting of stores.
