The author of this project feels the same loneliness in the presence of people.
Boston artist Karen the Hedgehog for the past ten years has been portrait photography, embodying their ideas and sentiments in the fantastic images which are obtained simultaneously and gloomy, and dreamlike.
Not being able to rent a Studio, she decided to go in search of abandoned places around the world to realize their creative potential. Such locations and strangers he met her on the way, in fact, influenced her work, making them truly unique.

In his new project the artist decided to go 1000 years into the future to document the return of the prodigal astronaut on the Ground. Upon arrival, he discovers that all the houses are empty, and people never left. So he wanders alone, watching post-apocalyptic legacy of past civilizations.

“This series is a combination of my love of research and concern that I have when dealing with other people. The last few years I feel incredibly lonely, I always feel awkward and never really belong to any specific situation (especially being in society)”, — said the girl edition of Bored Panda.

“Sometimes I think I travel around this planet alone, and no one around me understands.
I think at one point or another in life we can all identify with the lonely astronaut.
In our lives there can be different bad things, but they can’t deny the beauty of the world. We need to move on and to continue to explore”, she concluded.
