Patriarch Kirill becomes honorary Professor of the RAS
MOSCOW, January 18. /TASS/ — Together with the Patriarch, the honorary title will be given to the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matvienko.
The Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill awarded the title of honorary Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the ceremony will be held on January 22, TASS was told at the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Together with the Patriarch, the honorary title will receive the President of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.
“Patriarch Kirill awarded the title of honorary Professor of Russian Academy of Sciences. The solemn ceremony of awarding the title “Honorary Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences,” the most Holy Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill and Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko will take place on January 22. New honorary professors of Sciences will present the Vice-President of the RAS Yuri Yurievich Balega”, — said the representative of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 2010 Patriarch Kirill was awarded the title of honorary Professor of National research nuclear University “MEPhI”.
