Ukraine recognized the intervention of their politicians in American elections
Court of Kiev acknowledged the intervention of the Ukrainian politicians in the US presidential election in 2016. This is stated in the statement of the party “Opposition platform For life”, published on its official website.
It is established that the head of the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine Sytnyk and Verkhovna Rada Deputy Serhiy Leshchenko published the data about the name Paul Manafort in the list of “black accounting of the Party of regions” of the materials of the pretrial investigation.
“The court has found a causal link between the actions of rush and Leshchenko and care Paul Manafort from the post of chief of staff of the candidate in presidents of the USA”, — stated in the message.
In addition, the actions Sytnyk and Leshchenko came under an article of the Criminal code of Ukraine on the restriction of the disclosure of data of preliminary investigation. “Pay special attention that the blame for the interference in the electoral processes in the United States lay not Leshchenko and Sytnik, and the state of Ukraine in whole”, — quoted statement the words of the head of the public movement “the Ukrainian choice — the right of the people” Viktor Medvedchuk.
Manafort headed the campaign headquarters trump from June to August 2016. He is accused of lobbying former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, tax evasion, money laundering and contacts with senior Russian officials to influence the electoral process in the United States.
On 22 August the court found him guilty on eight of the 18 counts in the indictment: violations of tax and banking legislation and concealing foreign Bank accounts.
