Almost 29 thousand hot dogs were eaten, guests of the new year holiday on Tverskaya street in Moscow

MOSCOW, January 1. /TASS/ — the organizers of the festival “Journey to Christmas”, 31 December the street is turned into a “festive pedestrian space”.

Guests of the festival on Tverskaya street in Moscow in the framework of the “Journey to Christmas” ate new year’s eve 29 thousand hot dogs and drank about 43 thousand cups of tea and coffee. On Tuesday TASS said the organizers of the festival.

“December 31 Tverskaya street was transformed into a festive pedestrian space. The most popular among the visitors were the hot dishes: soups, chicken Kiev, meat dishes and dumplings (in total has sold more than 35 thousand portions of hot meals). Special demand also enjoyed pies with toppings, quiches, pies and croissants (they are guests of the festival for the day purchased 23,7 thousand pieces) and hot dogs (sold 28,9 thousand). To warm up, guests were helped with hot drinks: drank visitors 43 thousand cups of tea and coffee 67700 servings of a spicy Christmas drink”, — stated in the message.

Also, according to organizers, has sold 19 thousand sandwiches, sandwiches and servings of quesadillas.

Festival “Journey to Christmas” kicked off in the capital on December 14 and will last until January 13. During the month of 78 venues across Moscow offers ice ballets, performances of Russian and European theaters, concerts of popular performers, art objects, sports and games, workshops and excursions.
