For its part, the Lithuanian President said that Russia must implement international agreements on shipping in the sea of Azov, and to ensure the free use of the Kerch Strait.

“We want to reiterate that the Azov sea is not a territory of Russia, and that the sea is subject to all international agreements. And Russia as well as all others, must abide by international agreements. If not, we always will help support Ukraine and will continue to increase its military presence, and we need to ensure free movement (Kerch) Strait… and we have to fulfill all the agreements that apply to international waters,” — said Grybauskaite.

We call on our international partners to apply tough sanctions to stop the aggressive encroachments of Russia in the Black and Azov seas and ensure freedom of navigation in the region.Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine NewsLithuania has imposed sanctions against Russia
