And finally, inspired by events in Kosovo, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Meloni decided to take the bull by the horns. Radical proclaimed himself President of the Republic of Malu-Ventoux and even opened his own “house” right in the tent. He declared freedom from taxes and claimed that about 300 people ready to become citizens of the new country.
Maloney sent an appeal to Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and UN recognition of the state.
