“Our petition was the Tverskoy district court of Moscow. We are asking the court to declare Zhirinovsky’s statements about and to recover from him compensation for moral damages in the amount of 10 million rubles,” — told “Interfax” on Wednesday Hinstein lawyer Shota Gorgadze.

The lawyer explained that we are talking about the September program “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov”, in which his principal, in his opinion, was subjected to abuse from Zhirinovsky.

Khinshtein previously filed a complaint with Zhirinovsky in the Duma the Duma Commission on Deputy ethics. In response, the Commission pointed to “the inadmissibility of the Commission of deputies of the State Duma of the actions that violate the rules of parliamentary ethics — to use obscene, abusive language, causing harm to the honor and dignity of deputies and other persons, to prevent unreasonable charges in someone’s address, use false information, to call for illegal actions.”

Received the Commission @dumagovru ethics to my complaint on Zhirinovsky. It’s not even evasion, and trolling of some kind. As colleagues left me with no other choice, I will apply for Zhirinovsky in court. pic.twitter.com/lGP8kyR3DN

The Commission found unqualified to give any assessment of the presence, in the words of Zhirinovsky’s statements aimed at inciting ethnic hatred, noting that this issue relates to the competence of law enforcement agencies.

“In this regard, we are also considering the possibility of recourse to law enforcement agencies for the presence of extremism in the words of Zhirinovsky,” — said the lawyer.
