Previously, the newspaper “Vedomosti” reported that the authorities plan to change the formula for calculating pension insurance. The publication drew attention to the paragraph about improving “the basic parameters of the distribution component of the pension system, taking into account demographic and economic conditions.” The interlocutor of the newspaper noted that we are talking about the cancellation of the existing Russian from 2015 point pension formula.

In a press-service of the Ministry of labour RNS also stated that the project “under the improvement of the main parameters of the distribution component of the pension system refers to a new order of indexation of pensions”.

For obtaining a pension insurance it is necessary not only to reach retirement age but also to accumulate working experience and to earn the required number of pension points. These points when a pension is transferred into rubles, their “cost” determines every year the government indexes.
